GUIDED EXCURSION TO THE NEW VOLCANO OF CUMBRE VIEJA
Volcanic action is the main cause of the formation of the island of La Palma which, together with El Hierro, is the youngest of the Canary archipelago. We will know the last volcanic episodes of the island, which has lived 8 eruptions in the last 500 years, the last one which took place from September to December 2021 and which gave shape to the youngest land in all of Spain, Europe and Africa. Walking among the ash and lapilli that have been deposited in the Llano del Jable area, in the municipality of El Paso, we will be able to understand the damage suffered by the vegetation and the incredible regenerative power of the Canarian pine. Once we get close to the Tajogaite crater we will have an impressive view of the lava flow that has affected several towns in the Aridane Valley, forever changing the geography of the island and the lives of many people. Our guide, who has experienced the eruption first hand, will tell you unique details of what happened. Book this unprecedented tour to discover all about the volcano of La Palma and have a unique and exciting experience.
A GUIDED TOUR IN SMALL GROUPS
The groups are not formed by more than 14 participants, to allow a better interaction between the tourist, the guide and the environment. We like to create a family and friendly atmosphere and respect the rhythms of everyone and especially of the place where we are, an extremely fragile place that we must take care of for its geological importance.
